I have officially ran thirteen 5K's as of June 19, 2014. As many of you might know the number "13" is my lucky number. I was born on the 13th, I lost 113 pounds, and so many other things has happened to me with the number 13.
So I decided to declared a new goal to reach the day I did my 13th 5K.
On June 19, 2014, I ran the NYC 5K Police Chase in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens.
It was a beautiful day, excellent weather for a run. I was running with my wonderful nephew Anthony which makes it exciting for me.
A couple of years ago, in 2011 to be exact, my husband and I had attempted to walk this race. At the time we were not conditioned to run it. We were the only ones walking it along with an elderly gentleman.
On Sunday, May 18, 2014, I ran the 13th NYPD Memorial 5K race. This race is run in honor of all NYPD Officers who have died in the line
of duty. There are more than 800 NYPD heroes whose names have been
etched into the granite New York City Police Memorial Wall in Battery
For the past few years my friend Maria and I been wanting to run this race, but life keeps getting in the way. This year Maria had a previous engagement, but I was determined to do it since it was the 13th annual one (13 is my lucky number).
On April 27th, 2014, I ran my official eleventh 5K. It was a gorgeous day in the neighborhood and great weather for a run.
The Riverdale Mental Health Association 5K was originally scheduled for March 9, 2014, but due to the horrible winter we had this year, the race was cancelled and rescheduled.
We were a little disappointed because last year's race included the the trails at Van Cortland Park, but they changed the route this year. The trails are awesome and we were looking forward to running them -- but anyway we ran the flats.
So most of you know that I love Spinning® and that I became a Certified Spinning® Instructor back in November of 2013. Usually the Spinning® world comes together every year at the end of May at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami, Florida.

Back in February 2014 I started seeing the advertising for the conference, and being a newbie at this, I really considered on attending to experience this awesome event. After weighing all possibilities I decided to attend since I was going with Ketsy (my trainer) who had attended the conference before, and our friend who is also a personal trainer, Isabel.
